Dragon Quest IX and other stuff

Been awhile. :) I've been playing Dragon Quest IX for about 50 something hours. It's been really awesome. It's about as old school as you can get with a full-release video game these days. I love how light-hearted the story is and how corny the puns are. It's really great.

Another game I played pretty recently is the Mega Man Zero Collection. It was pretty awesome, for what it was. Just straight ports of the GBA Mega Man Zero games all on one DS cartridge.

I'm trying to save up money for a new laptop, because: (a) Mine has a busted screen and it has to function as a desktop and (b) I want one that can play more recent games. I'd love to be able to play Oblivion with Morrowind like gameplay. I'd also like to play Morrowind with MGE for once.

That's about it for now. I'll try to update more, if I feel like it.

Mega Man 10 and things!

So I got Mega Man 10 the day it was released.

It was pretty damn fun, but I don't know if I like it as much as Mega Man 9. The music was really awesome, but 9 was better. The bosses were cool, but 9 was better in that regard too. The bosses in 10 were much harder though, and actually reacted intelligently sometimes. The stages were easier in this one, but the Wily stages were like 5 times as hard. :\

There's an Easy mode, but I won't play that, because I'm not a lamer. :p There's also Protoman mode, but I'm not really a fan of playing as him. He takes too much damage and his charge buster sucks. Now, when Bass is released, you can bet your ass I'll download him.

Overall, I liked it a lot, but it wasn't mindblowing. It definitely isn't my favorite Mega Man game.

In other news, I got Arceus in Pokemon Pearl, filling my Pokedex to completion! I am now the proud owner of a full Pokedex! It's almost depressing in a way, because I feel there's not much left to do in the game, but that's wrong, because I still have those dumb contests to do. I'll eventually get a perfect trainer card, but that'll wait til way after HG/SS, which, by the way, comes out NEXT WEEK FROM TODAY. Oh man, I am SO stoked. I bought Emerald the other day in preparation for it. I can't wait.

Other than that, not much news. I'll hopefully be going to college this Fall, and if the FAFSA is any indication, I'll be getting a lot for a community college. So I can get a new computer! :D

That's all for today, my lovelies.

Oh look, another huge gap.

Lots and lots of games were played. Most were happy. Then, happiness became anxiety, as MEGA MAN FUCKING 10 IS ONLY A FEW DAYS AWAY! AAAAAHHHHH! Ahem, anyway, yes, that's what I've got my mind set on. I can't wait for it. Soon after, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver come out, and I've already got SS pre-ordered. Yet another Pokemon game I can get 492 Pokemon in! e_e Stupid Arceus. I need one. I missed the TRU event last year and I've been kicking myself because of it. Why did I have to be sick? ._.

Anyway, you can tell that I'm excited. I played a gratuitous amount of Fallout 3. I rank that up there close to Morrowind now in awesomeness. I'd probably play more of it, but I need Operation Anchorage and Mothership Zeta, that and the character I'm playing as has kinda gotten boring. I think when I get Mothership Zeta, I'll start an Energy Weapons character. I already beat the game on Normal with a Small Guns dude, I've got an Unarmed chick on Hard, so I guess next will be Energy Weapons on Very Hard. HARDCORE GODDAMNIT.

Yay, now you can wait for yet more gaps between posts! Ciao~

Jesus Christ, what the hell happened to the past months?

O_o Damn. Time has gone by so quickly. In that span of time, I've been playing a bunch of games, and I'm starting to get bored of a lot of them. I played Morrowind for a long-ass time, but I ended up getting bored and wishing I had a better video card so I could run MGE on it. Then I think, wait, if I had a better video card, I could play more games too! That just depresses me, because the only thing I can play newer games on is the 360, and, well, that's no substitute for the PC. I played KOTOR for a very short time. Yawn. I picked Baldur's Gate II back up while I was still at home. I intend to beat it with the party I've got when I get back home, but I'm not gonna do that until someone decides to pay the internet bill. <3 Imoen. I played Mass Effect for a little while, but then decided that I would wait for my younger brother to beat it first. I'm now playing TWEWY again, and Neku and Joshua are getting super strong. It won't be much longer before they have maxed base defense. After that, it's HP. e_e I WILL beat the optional boss on a mode higher than Easy! Finally beat the stupid mammoth on Ultimate. Updates will be sporadic in the future, like always, not that anyone reads this blog anyway. Oh well, til next time.

Cliffracers and Tonberries

Because I'll have to assume that the plural of Tonberry is like the plural of berry. So, yeah, I'm playing Morrowind again. I love this game so much. Honestly, I think it's like my second favorite game ever. It'll never beat BG, but damn it, they're both special to me. I also started a file on Dissidia. Getting used to the controls is kind of a bitch, but it's steadily coming along. I hate that Cloud is his emo KH/AC self. This is especially jarring considering how everyone else is in character. Steve Burton is a large contribution to this. He could try to be a little more emotional, I mean, he is a soap ope-, wait, nevermind, I figured it out. Anyways, it's still a fun game. I like playing as Cecil. I'll be starting Squall soon. I love me some Squall. Oh, I suppose I should give the skinny on my Morrowind character. He's a Dunmer Adventurer. I didn't specialize him in any certain area, because I want him to be a Swiss Army Knife of awesome like Indiana Jones. Sadly, I forgot to make him a decent blocker in character generation, so that's sorta sucky, but he can learn to cope. My, do mods never cease to amaze me. I can't wait to pick up Julan when I can think up a RP way to go get him. Til later, guys!

Back to Vvardenfell.

So, I'm gonna play Morrowind again soon. I'm wondering whether or not I should re-install. I do enjoy having a clean start, but I hate having to spend hours re-installing my mods. I also enjoy downloading them. I know that I'm going to go with a lot of the mods that are typically recommended, but as I haven't played in like six months, can anyone recommend me new mods?

The World Ends With Me

Man, was that ending awesome. Wow. Words cannot explain how much I enjoyed this game. It has to be one of my favorite handheld games of all time. I'm glad I finally decided to beat it. Another Day was hilarious. It's like Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged almost. Now, I'm saying things like "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally"and "FOIL! FIRST, OUTER, INNER, LAST!" randomly. Damn you, awesome game. e_e Damn you.
